US 202 in New York
According to foodezine, US 202 is a US Highway in the US state of New York. The road forms a diagonal east-west/north-south link in the northern far suburban area of New York City. The route is 89 kilometers long.
At Suffern, the road enters the state. US 202 in New Jersey emerges from the western suburban area of New York City, then runs northeast, under Interstate 87 / Interstate 287, which are double-numbered. The road has one lane in each direction and forms the boundary of New York’s northern suburbs on the west bank of the Hudson River. At Pomona one crosses the Palisades Interstate Parkway, a north-south highway to Fort Lee in New Jersey. At Haverstraw, one reaches the Hudson River, forcing US 202 north along with US 9W. One then passes through the last few small suburbs, after which the road runs north along the banks of the Hudson. One then crosses US 6 coming out of Scranton and together both roads cross the Bear Mountain Bridge over the Hudson River. The bridge is a stately suspension bridge between the hills. Both roads are then double -numbered until Peekskill, where one intersects US 9, and where the Briarcliff-Peekskill Parkway ends. The road then enters the area of some scattered remote New York suburbs. At Yorktown one crosses the Taconic State Parkway, the northernmost parkwayof the agglomeration. The road then runs along a few lakes to the northeast, through a park-like setting with expensive houses. At Brewster, US 6 rejoins and both roads intersect Interstate 84, which runs from Scranton to Hartford. Also, Interstate 684 from White Plains ends on the road. Both roads then run double-numbered to the border with the state of Connecticut. US 202 in Connecticut then continues to Danbury, Torrington and Hartford.
US 202 was added to the network in 1934. The US 202 is not a very important route within New York.
US 209 in New York

US 209 is a US Highway in the US state of New York. The road forms a north-south route in the south of the state, between the Pennsylvania border at Port Jervis and US 9W at Lake Katrine. The route is 98 kilometers long.
At Port Jervis, the road crosses the Delaware River, also the border with Pennsylvania. US 209 in Pennsylvania comes from Stroudsburg. The road has one lane in each direction and runs through a wooded valley to the northeast. At Wurtsboro, one crosses SR-17, which is to become Interstate 86 in the future. SR-17 runs from Middletown and New York to Binghamton and Erie. The road continues its route through wooded and hilly areas to the northeast. US 44 begins at the village of Kerhonkson, a main road to Poughkeepsie and Hartford. One then reaches the town of Kingston, after which the US 209 even becomes a highwayis becoming. The road goes over Interstate 87, but there is no direct connection with it. Then the road at Lake Katrine becomes SR-199 which crosses the Hudson. One crosses the US 9W here.
US 209 was created in 1926 but initially only passed through Pennsylvania. In 1934 the route was extended north into New York. US 209 is not an important route within New York and is therefore single-lane.
US 219 in New York
According to bittranslators, US 219 is a US Highway in the US state of New York. The road is a north-south route in the west of the state, from Limestone on the Pennsylvania border to the city of Buffalo. Part of the road is a highway. The route is 109 kilometers long.
At Limestone, US 219 crosses the New York border from Pennsylvania, soon reaching Interstate 86. US 219 then runs parallel to this highway as far as Salamanca, after which US 219 continues north. One passes through wooded and hilly area, which gradually gets lower. The Southern Expressway begins at Springville. This highway section is about 45 kilometers long. US 219 is a major rural exit route to the city of Buffalo. At Orchard Park, the highway enters the Buffalo metropolitan area. At Lackawanna, US 219 merges with Interstate 90, which runs from Cleveland to Boston.
US 219 was created in 1926 but did not pass through New York State until 1934 when it was extended north to Hamburg. A short extension to Lackawanna followed in the 1970s.
Construction of the Southern Expressway as a gateway to Buffalo began in the early 1970s. The first section opened in 1973 between Orchard Park and I-90, also extending US 219 over this new route. The highway extended to North Boston in the mid-1970s and Springville in the early 1980s. On November 19, 2010, the highway was extended a few more miles south from Springville.
The highway section has 30,000 to 60,000 vehicles per 24 hours.
