Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is a landlocked country between the Caspian Sea in the west and
the Altai Mountains in the east. With its area, Kazakhstan is the ninth largest
country in the world. The country's economic development was a success story up
until 2014, mainly thanks to its immense oil reserves. The globally falling oil
price is now facing major challenges for the economy.

Kenya
Kenya is a state in East Africa. In terms of gross domestic product, Kenya's
economy is the largest in Southeast and Central Africa. Kenya is particularly
popular with tourists because of its extensive safari parks. The largest
national park is the Tsavo National Park: Here you can find wildebeest, zebras,
antelopes, buffalo and impala as well as elephants.

Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country with around 5.5 million inhabitants in
Central Asia. The Kyrgyz people working abroad are an important economic
factor. It is estimated that between 500,000 and 800,000 migrant workers are
sending payments to their families in Kyrgyzstan. That makes up around 25
percent of GDP.

Kosovo
In 2008 Kosovo, a former province of Serbia within what was then the Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia, declared its independence. 23 of the 28 EU member states
and over 100 countries worldwide have now recognized the Republic of Kosovo. The
country's economy is still developing: three times as much is currently being
imported as it is exported.

Kuwait
The emirate of Kuwait is a state in the Middle East on the Arabian
Peninsula. The population structure of Kuwait is characterized by the very high
proportion of foreign workers and their relatives: only a third of the
population are Kuwait. The country's wealth is based on petroleum.
