HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha: for Facebook Addicts

Finally they are not Facebook phones, but that are strongly integrated with the social network. So much so that they have a physical and conveniently located button that serves exclusively to use Facebook. The key will allow us to automatically share photos, post the song we are listening to with a press or share our location in Facebook places.

These two terminals that do not include hardware, but will come out of the factory with the latest software: Android 2.3.3 and a new version of HTC Sense.

“Facebook button” is sensitive to the context

As we said at the beginning, the famous button is not only access to Facebook, it will do different things depending on the context: update our wall, upload a photo, share a link or the song we are listening to, check-in on Facebook Places (“places” here in Spain).

For example, if we are seeing an image in the gallery and click it, it will automatically share it, but it will also give us the option to comment it, tag it, put it in an album specifically or change the privacy level.

The interface is also very integrated with the social network, as it was already doing HTC Sense long: calendar includes birthdays and Facebook events, when a friend calls us appears in the dialer its last update and your photo, etc.

Availability and price

HTC Salsa and HTC ChaCha will be available in Europe for the second quarter of this year. In the United States will come later with AT & T, here is Vodafone which has shown interested.

The price has not moved forward, but with grants it will end up being very competitive. That Yes, somewhat more expensive than the new HTC Wildfire S.
