I saw this child of post a while ago on → Mirela’s blog – isn’t this on adorable idea? As I what more of a beauty blogger for a long time, I have many beauty products and actually remember many of “our” stories. Sure, there are many PR samples too, but these are part of my history.
I’d so love to read your stories – so please feel free to share them with me in the comments!
I’ve seen this kind of post recently at → Mirela on the blog – that is not a cute idea? Since I was more Beautyblogger than fashion Yes a very long time, I of course have some nice products here and remember too many of “our” stories. Of course, including many PR samples are, but this one belong to my story.
I would also really love to read your stories – so feel welcome to share them with me in the comments!
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact – “Bronze”
Let’s just say, that’s probably the one that started it all. One day I just wanted to spoil myself with something special and went on a little shopping trip to Nuremberg. I visited the Bobbi Brown counter and got a makeup from one of their makeup artist. Fun fact: a few years later, hey what my boss.
Well, after that makeup, my obsession with high end cosmetics started, and especially with Bobbi Brown. This the first of many buys and even though today I don’t use it as often as back then, that’s the story I always remember when I hold this little box in my hands.
Let’s say that everything has started. One day I was going to reward me a bit with something special and drove to Nuremberg. In the Breuninger I then visited the Bobbi Brown counter and let me from a make-up the make-up artists. Fun fact: a few years later it was my boss.
Anyway, my obsession started after this makeup with high end cosmetics and especially Bobbi Brown. This was the first of many purchases, and even though I use the Shimmer Brick today not so much as in the past, this is the story that I always remember, if I hold the little box in my hands.
essie – “Mint Candy Apple”
There what a time back in 2010 when every blogger what wearing essie’s → “Mint Candy Apple”. Back then, essie wasn’t available in Germany (it took some time before you could buy the polishes in cosmetic salons), you had to order them online. I remember buying about five of them and selling them on eBay, as people were totally mad about this polish.
Today, buying essie in Germany is the easiest thing ever (but when it comes to limited editions, there’s still something that makes people go crazy) and I really love this brand. By now, I own more than 40 colors.
There was a time in 2010, in which every blogger essies → “Mint Candy Apple” on nails wore. Essie never was available in Germany (it took a little bit, then you could buy the paints in beauty salons), you had to order them online from abroad. I still remember how I about got five of them, then again on eBay to sell it, because the people were totally crazy then.
Today you get essie here in Germany Yes really super easy (except, when it comes to limited editions, as people rotate through still) and I love the brand. Until today, more than 40 colors have accumulated in me.
MAC “Dame Edna” limited edition (Winter 2008)
Thanks to a certain blogger called → Karrie , this what my first MAC collection. What my first huuuuge MAC buy and I remember being in the city with my mother and sneaking away to spend it like all my money on this (there’s at eye shadow palette missing in this picture, I don’t have it anymore). End of the story, what that she caught me in the act, saw how much money I what spending on makeup and what so disappointed that she even shed a tear. Back then, I felt horrible that afternoon, but today it’s actually a little bit funny – especially because today the number of expensive beauty products has grown a lot.And from time to time, I like to spoil my mother with some gifts.
Thanks to a certain blogger named → Karrie, this was my first MAC collection. It was my first rieeesiger MAC shopping and I still remember how I was with my mom in the city and secretly from the dust made me practically spend all my money on these products (still an eyeshadow palette that I no longer is missing on the image). The end of the story was that she caught me, saw how much money I spend here for makeup, and she was so disappointed that she has shed even a crumbly. At that time I’ve felt insanely bad in the afternoon, but today it is even a bit funny – especially because Yes now rather increased the number of expensive beauty products. And and I give my mom sometimes with a few things. 😉
Estée Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick – “Classic Red”
There’s one day when every woman is finally ready for her first red lipstick. My day came in 2009 and I spent a few hours at the store, searching for my perfect shade of red. This is it. And the start of many, many bright lipsticks. That’s just what I love most.
There is a day in a woman’s life where she is finally ready for her first red lipstick. My day came in 2009 and I spent a few hours in the store to find my perfect red. This is him. And at the same time also the starting shot for many, many bright lipsticks. I just love it.
Dior – “Forever and ever Dior” (Eau de Toilette)
This is my favorite story – the one of my wedding perfume. Whenever I spray it on, I’m taken back to last year, the morning of September 13th, while getting ready, a few hours before saying “I do.”.
It was only two months earlier that I went to the Alsterhaus here in Hamburg and became friends with one of the nice ladies at the Dior counter. She told me about this perfume and that many women like to wear it on their wedding day. Well, actually that’s a fact that doesn’t make you feel very special, but that’s not what it’s about, right? I’m pretty sure many women “share” a perfume on that day. 🙂 But isn’t it beautiful to wear something with such a nice name? → The fragrance is as wonderful as its name sounds: with freesia, ivy, jasmine, almond blossom, rose hip, geranium, musk, vanilla and amber, this is an intensely floral scent, very fresh and also passionate. Well, I guess the name is true – I’ll stick to that perfume forever and ever, remembering the most wonderful day of my life.
This is my favorite story – the one of my wedding fragrance. Whenever I spray it, I remember last year, September 13th, when I finished in the morning, just a few hours before I said “Yes, I will.”
Only about two months ago I’ve befriended me here in the Alsterhaus with one of the nice ladies at the Dior counter. She told me about the perfume and that there are many women like to wear on her wedding day. Admittedly, that leaves not much particularly feel one, but it’s actually then but also not so quite, or? I’m pretty sure that many women “share her perfume on this day”.But is it not wonderful to wear something with a name so magical? → the scent is at least as beautiful as the name sounds: with Freesia, Ivy, jasmine, Almond Blossom, wild rose, geranium, musk, vanilla and amber is an intense floral fragrance, very fresh and at the same time passionate. I think the name fits quite well – I will forever wear the perfume and remember the most beautiful day of my life.
