Polychromy in art
Art and crafts polychrome is the finish painted more than one color of a sculpture, decorative ornament, etc. Although it is often used to describe the statues of wood painted in several colors, polychromy is the name of the finish regardless of the stand (wood, stone, clay etc.), the motive or the function of the painted part.
