Apple Releases Beta of iWork in the Cloud for All Users of iCloud

In June, to announce the iOS 7 beta, the Apple also showed a preview of iWork for iCloud, which brings together the three applications apple office suite in your browser: Pages, Numbers and Keynote. He comes to compete with Google Drive and SkyDrive, but it was only available to developers and some guest users. No more: today, Apple released the news for all users of iCloud.

To use iWork for iCloud, simply visit icloud.com and enter the data from your Apple ID. The three new applications, still in beta stage, will be there: Pages, the word processor; Numbers, the spreadsheet editor; and Keynote, for presentations. For now, none of them is fully translated into Portuguese.

As with other services, all documents you create will be saved in the cloud. They will also be automatically synchronized with all Macs, iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches that are connected to your iCloud account.

There is also support for documents generated by Microsoft applications, simply drag and drop Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the corresponding application. But do not expect much of conversion: if you want to edit complex documents and are without Office installed, the best option is still to use SkyDrive.

IWork for iCloud applications run on Macs and PCs, in Safari 6.0.3 or higher, Chrome 27.0.1 or higher and Internet Explorer 9.0.8 or higher. All information is available on this page.

And along with the beta of iWork for iCloud, Apple released the beta of the new iCloud for all users in beta.icloud.com, which was available to developers since last week. For now only in English, the new iCloud is the look of iOS 7: has animated background, new icons and completely reworked applications.
